Kids and adults alike spent an exciting and blessed five days July 21st to 25th in Shepherdsville, USA, where they learned that God calls them to "dare to be different". To make a difference by forgiving, by being faithful, and by serving others. Members of the Almond and Wautoma churches pitched in, too, sharing their talents as musicians and Bible characters. John the Baptist, Abraham, Joseph, the prophet Deborah, and even Jesus came to visit, in their Biblical "duds", to share how they made a different in their time.
Not even a torrential rainstorm on the 3rd night dampened our enthusiasm and we carried on with games, crafts, stories and snacks as we did every night. So many people were involved in helping but we especially thank Jeanna and Darrell for leading out in this Herculean job. Those who also shared a part in making it a success were Janiece, Ardis, Pam, Leticia, Lem and Doreen, and George. Oh, and Margaret, who manned the food table every night and made such delicious snacks and a wonderful supper on the last night. But almost everyone was involved and we thank them all. We're all looking forward to next year!
